about

Three Fathoms is collection of sonic foam recorded late 2016 and early 2017 for a live concert series at Galactic Center, Tucson. The concerts, Tonal Centers, were experimental playgrounds where electronica artists could come and tease their craft in front of live audiences.

In these performances, I chose to freely improvise several distinct pieces per set. Collections of sounds/patches, textures and rhythms were selected beforehand, and the notes and movement were left to sensitivities of the evening.

As a whole, the works represent a time and place for me where I had to draw from deep anchor points and still feel free to drift, float and waft among the current of a live performance. Minimal resistance.
